The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission (HPC) seeks an exceptional Director of Operations to support the activities and operations of the agency. This is a terrific opportunity for an operational and/or management professional to join the HPC’s leadership team and lead the agency’s efforts to oversee and improve internal processes. Reporting directly to the Deputy Executive Director, the Director of Operations will have the ability to set best practices.

About the HPC
The HPC is an independent state agency that develops policy to reduce health care cost growth and improve the quality of patient care. The HPC has five core responsibilities: (1) monitoring the performance of the health care system, (2) analyzing the impact of health care market transactions on cost, quality, and access, (3) setting the health care cost growth benchmark, (4) investing in community health care delivery system transformation, and (5) certifying patient-medical homes (PCMHs) and accountable care organizations (ACOs). The HPC's 11-member Board provides oversight to the activities of the agency.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or relevant field required. Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
Experience working in a public department or agency will be strongly considered. Salary range is $90,000-$110,000 and commensurate with experience. The HPC may adjust title and responsibilities depending on the experience, education, and expertise of the individual selected.
